TROUBLE SHOOTING
  • Can't install service

Administrator privileges are requred to create system service in win2000/xp/vista, so be sure your login is in Administrators group.

  • Can't start service or can't connect remotely
Check your firewall setting, install as service will add a entry to system registry table,
and ensure socket ports are not blocked by firewall. TCP ports used:
Telnet: TCP 23
Telnet/SSL: TCP 992
SSH1/SSH2: TCP 22
HTTP: TCP 80, TCP 59700

Check if you can connect on local PC. If you can connect locally and can't remotely, it's a firewall problem.
